"The 2010 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast), from a blend of six sites, is an unusual wine because of an exotic aromatic lift that recalls Sauvignon. Apricots, peaches, lemon, mint and savory herbs wrap around the textured, broad-shouldered finish. A vivid, striking wine, the 2010 is loaded with personality. This is an uncommonly delicious and compelling Sonoma Coast Chardonnay with more than enough structure to drink nicely for a number of years. The partially-blocked malo style adds freshness. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
